Just Write

Oops! Did that sound like the title of the Queen Latifah movie?  :-)

Truth be told, it hurts  when I go to blogs that follow Zouzou's Muses and find beneath my last post, 'one week ago' meaning the post you see was written a whole one week ago!! Unacceptable!
Ok, ok, so I know I didn't sign a contract to write daily, I didn't put it on paper, or in blood anywhere that I would post daily, however, I have a keen sense of responsibility to those who take out time to click here...I do that myself, and get disappointed when I find a new post isn't up on any of my fave blogs....
However, however, I hit (a more relevant) gold in my search for something to write... (I was going to write about my long weekend, and how I cant believe I came out of it unscathed...) I go into my draft folder on my desktop and found the piece below I had started ages ago but never finished ...and it being so apt, as it correlates with what you have above, I just could not not post!
Read on...
I am not in the mood to write. More, I have nothing to write. But I am writing anyway. Why? Because I just came upon this piece (and that just when I was about to give up) '10 steps to Becoming a Better Writer' by Brian Clark a copy blogger who gave 10 good reasons why I must snap out of my inability to write!

1. Write.
2. Write More.
3. Write Even More.
4. Write even more than that.
5. Write when you don’t want to.
6. Write When you do.
7. Write when you have something to say.
8. Write when you don’t.
9. Write every day.
10. Keep writing.

When I saw that, my fingers just flew over the keys! I am pretty sure I didn’t come across this piece by accident; only a few days ago, I was doodling on a note the reasons why I think I have anything to say that is of interest to anyone in this whole wide world. Why do I imagine I am a writer (not a writer writer, you know, but a writer, you get...lol), I pep-talked myself into believing that having begun a journey, I have no choice but to keep at and finish it.

Now, thanks to Mr. Clark, I have written!! I hope this helps the real writers when they 'get blocked!' :-)

Be free oh
